Living improv legend, Mark Sutton, will be my guest on the next Gettin’ Close podcast. It’s actually just been recorded and for improvisers- this might just be the best thing since tag outs. Loads of improv discussion here both both from a performing perspective and a teaching/coaching perspective. If I learned anything from this chat it’s that most of what I have come to use as a I perform and as I teach I get from Mark. As far as instruction goes, I am the bastard son of Susan Messing and Mark Sutton and hopefully some day I’ll be as clear with my thoughts as he is. This is a must listen episode for all you improvisers out there. If you had me in class then you’ve heard me talk about him. I can only hope you recognize some of what I focus on as he talks about it. Hopefully you took his workshops. If not, this is no replacement, but a great audible workshop in itself. Dude is the truth. Look for it in the next few days.
