It’s hard to believe it, but the 2022 Philly Fringe Festival is already around the corner. Even harder to believe is that this will be our second time in the festival as a theater company. This is also our second year participating in the festival as a Hub. Dozens of improviers, sketch comedians, stand-ups, storytellers, and theater artists will be appearing throughout our tightly packed 5 days in South Philly’s Theatre Exile.
Something new we’re trying for this year’s Fringe Festival is a Festival Pass and it’s loaded with perks! The 2022 Crossroads Fringe Festival Pass includes:

Below is most of the information for what’s coming. There are some shows where we will be opening up submissions to fill in some spots very soon. Look for announcements about those on our website as well as our social media.
The Philadelphia Fringe Festival is a city-wide celebration of innovation and creativity in contemporary performance. Each September, the Festival explodes into every nook and cranny of Philadelphia with more than 1,000 artistically daring performances, including national and international performances curated by FringeArts, and works produced by hundreds of independent artists. The 2022 Philadelphia Fringe Festival runs September 8–October 2, 2022. The full lineup will be announced on Monday, August 1. Crossroads has a handful of classes starting between now and mid-September. Whether you want improv, sketch writing, or stand-up we got your covered. This slate includes Improv Basics classes with Kelly Conrad and Tanya Morgan, advanced improv classes with Ralph Andracchio and Rob O’neill, Musical IMprov with Claire Holm & Scott Hughes, Online Sketch Comedy Writing with Matthew Schmid, and Online Stand-up Basics with Alyssa Al-Dookhi.
THE WADSWORTH CONSTANT PRE-FRINGE SPECIAL PERFORMANCE
ONE NIGHT ONLY! AGAIN! Improvised Absurdist One-Act Plays by Portland’s Kristen Schier and Philadelphia’s Nick Gillette. Professional idiocy in a world of amateur idiots. Drawing from the theatrical traditions of Albee, Ionesco, and Beckett, two veteran improvisors launch themselves into a newly generated world of absurdity and existentialist themes. Since its inception in 2014, the Wadsworth Constant has continued to astound and delight audiences from coast to coast.

RUNNIN' LATE PRESENTS THE MARATHON
Crossroads Comedy Theater and Runnin’ Late Present The Marathon. The Marathon is a weekend of comedy shows hosted by comedians Cab Washington and Marcely Jean Pierre. Showcasing some of the top standup comics and comedic improvisers on the East Coast, these shows will have you walking out with deeper joy, higher energy, and tighter abs than you came in with! Your favorite lecture based improv show is back live on stage for some in person lessons and laughs! Invited guests from different areas of expertise will present a lecture on a topic from their field for discussion after which a cast of some of Philly’s funniest performers will use what they’ve learned (or didn’t) to improvise hilarious scenes right before your eyes! FREE IMPROV JAM AT THE CROSSROADS
Are you a performer itching for some stage time? A non-performer looking to try improv for the first time ever? Come on out to our Free Improv Jam! All experience levels are welcome to sign up and hop on stage. Don’t have any improv experience? No worries! You’ll be paired with a more experienced improviser so you two can shine together.
