We announced a little while back that Crossroads Comedy Theater will be staging our first, original sketch comedy show around Halloween and now we’re read to announce a little more including the title of the show, performance dates so you can block them out early, and the killer crew of writers!

We decided to keep the name of the first horror comedy sketch show we worked on together – 2019’s A Nightmare on Jawn Street – and make that the (hopefully) yearly name of the Crossroads Comedy Theater horror comedy sketch show.

Each year we will add a new subtitle for the new show. This year’s subtitle: Liberty Hell. This is a perfect name for the show considering the general concept we have in mind. The name of the show isn’t the only thing returning.

Joining James Knight as Director is new Head Writer, Joe Tuzzi! Joe was a writer and performer in the original Jawn Street and we’re excited to have him back on board and in a leadership role.

Joe is from Norristown, PA, and currently writes, performs and teaches comedy out of Philadelphia. Joe has been performing comedy since 2012 when he studied under improvisers like Mike Marbach, Steve Kleinedler, Nick Mirra, and Kristen Schier. He eventually moved into sketch comedy and has taken classes with Brian Kelly, Paul Triggiani, Joe Moore, and Kevin McDonald from Kids in the Hall.

As a sketch comedian, Joe has written and performed for a variety of shows since 2012. These projects include A Nightmare on Jawn Street, founding and writing for PCW: Philly Comedy Wrestling, hosting and writing for the late-night-style talk show Two Late with Rob and Joe, Joe does the ABC’s, Fox Plaza, Corn Teeth, Iron Sketch, and a variety of sketch monologues.

Filling out the writers room is a mix of returning faces and people brand new to working with Crossroads Comedy Theater. In addition to these wonderful writers there will also be contributions from James Knight and Mike Marbach.
