Asteroid! The Show: Geeky Improv at the Adrienne Theater
Looking for something fun and geeky to do this weekend? And by that I mean, something other than celebrating the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins?
There’s hope for you, friend to Hobbits! There’s lots of laughs and science at Philly Improv Theater’s “Study Hall” at the Adrienne Theater.
The show started at the Philadelphia Science Festival, when Michael Yudell, a professor at Drexel University, would give a lecture, and the PHIT comedy team Asteroid! would then do improv based on it. Since it’s been so popular, Yudell decided to make it into its own show.
Depicting subjects ranging “from impregnation to parasitic strategy,” this “brutally honest science” will meet the experienced improvisation skills of Asteroid! The show runs September 19-22 at the Adrienne Theater starting at 7PM. Tickets cost $12 for the Thursday and Sunday shows, and $15 for the Friday and Saturday shows.
