In an effort to occupy more of my time hosting free podcasts about TV shows I am adding another one. There’s already Stark Raven Mad, which covers Game of Thrones. Recently I added Reheated: The Leftovers podcast covering the new HBO Show “The Leftovers”. The show kind of sucks right now, but we’re sticking it out. We make no attempt to hide our disdain for the show, but do hold out hope that it will eventually be worth watching. Come Monday morning you’ll be able to listen to another one. One I’m so much more excited about than The Leftovers- The Strain!

The Strain is based on a book by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and is the first book in a trilogy centered, at least from what I can tell from the previews, around vampires. As with my other podcasts I will not know anything about the book and (based on some comments I make) about the show either. So anything that happens on the show will be new to me. Joining me so far is SRM’s and Reheated’s Rob Alesiani who has read the first book (though that might not translate to us having a more informed discussion on the show) and David Donnella (which will likely translate into me shushing more).

As always the podcast will be sponsored by Audible.com, Philly Improv Theater and whoever else sees this that wants to supply pizza, beer or cash money. Thanks everyone for listening to this bull shit. We enjoy doing it.

It’s not quite a TV pilot, not quite a feature film, but it is definitely a fun discussion regarding this divisive latest entry in the Trek family.
