This episode of Bloody Sunday covers Season 1 Episode 7 of The Strain. Mixed opinions on the episode, but it’s generally agreed this was a filler episode. A stretch to get us further into the chaos to come.

We didn’t talk about it in the episode, but the actual title of this episode is “occultation”. To get into that briefly, occultation is:

an event that occurs when one object is hidden by another object that passes between it and the observer.”

So that’s true in the literal sense with the eclipse. The second definition is:

“It can also refer to any situation wherein an object in the foreground blocks from view (occults) an object in the background.”

To me that could be the fact that the real outbreak that right now is happening in the background of the series only visible by a few is being obscured by the government and the German’s vampire company itself.
