ABOUT MICHAEL MURPHY: Michael Murphy is the Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer in Law of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He regularly teaches continuing legal education courses to practicing attorneys about the intersection of technology and legal practice. He is also Co-Chair of “The Dude Hates Cancer,” Philadelphia’s finest (and only) annual charity bowling tournament benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, through which he has helped raise over $775,000 to fight blood cancers. Michael is an award-winning storyteller. He won the Audience Favorite award at the FirstPersonArts StorySlam GrandSlam in Philadelphia in November 2019 and his stories have been featured by WHYY and WNYC.
ABOUT TARA KAUSHAL: Tara is a practicing pediatric endocrinologist, clinical researcher, and instructor in Boston. She did her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cornell University and MD from Rutgers Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and then fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she also got a Masters of Science in Health Policy Research from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Her primary research focus is using digital health interventions to support self-care in adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
