This week guest Curt Riedy and Sam discuss whether or not it’s worth it to update old costumes props and using props on stage that aren’t necessary but funny to the performers. This week’s props: a Batman costume and a steering wheel cover and rear view mirror.
Curt is a filmmaker, comedy writer and performer in the Philadelphia area. A long-standing member of the sketch-comedy troupe High Dramma, Curt has performed in comedy festivals up and down the East Coast. He’s also one of the co-producers of Philly Sketchfest, the city’s long-running sketch comedy festival. Curt has also produced, directed and edited videos for several local comedians and sketch troupes (including The Incredible Shrinking Matt & Jacquie, Mean Wendy Band and Shannon Devido), and edited several comedic online spots for brands such as Campbell’s, V8, Pace, Prego and the NFL.
This summer, you can catch him in the new horror/comedy short “Guard Dog” (directed by Josh Jones) which was the winner of Best Short at Blobfest, as well as onstage with High Dramma at the DC Improv on July 29th and at the North Carolina Comedy Festival on September 2nd.
