Returning from the dead will be An Improvised Horror Comedy! This yearly hit improv comedy show mixes classic horror movie tropes and your suggestions to create a completely improvised “movie” right before your yes. The Improvised Horror Comedy features Philly’s best improvised movie crew, Not Yet Rated, which is made up of some of the best improvisers in Philly including Keane Cobb, Kelly Conrad, Matt Garren, Marcely Jean-Pierre, Brendan Manklang Kingston, James Knight, Daralyse Lyons, and Stacie Lyons and maybe more!
Study Hall-oween is back for another year! Get into the Halloween spirit with the special, spooky edition of Study Hall! Among others, this show will feature Linnea West of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and a pre-recorded lecture from the Cryptkeeper himself, John Kassir!
The Sideshow Halloween Special has been resurrected for another year of spoopy variety comedy. The show will feature Septar, Lenny Daniels, Zilla, Side B!, JFresh, and the ghost with the most, Rebekah Rickards! Also making its Crossroads return with an Improvised Murder Mystery Monoscene. Someone did it and the show will not end until we know who did – or the hour is up. Whichever comes first. Also features opening musical improv group birthed from the dungeons of Crossroads, Ready Or Not! Borrowed Time, our indie comedy showcase, will get some pumpkin spice flavoring as well with spoopy sets from Remain Dog and Tchotchke.
We’re also putting on our first ever show specifically for a family friendly audience! On Saturday, 10/26 @ 5pm you can catch Tricks & Treats: A Family Friendly Improv Comedy show, which will feature a mix of improv sets and games inspired and influenced by audience suggestions. This is a great opportunity to bring the little ones in your life for some halloween fun that they can be a part of! Features the cast of Not Yet Rated and host Rachel Semigran!
Our storytelling show, Nitty Gritty will make its Halloween run debut with several somewhat frightful tales from Philly’s best including, Anjoli Santiago, Brandon Mitchell, Nicole Phoenix, Anndee Hochman, Marcely, and Brandon Gulish all hosted by the scary good Martha Cooney.
Porn Stash with Beth & Ralph, will be back with Crossroads for a special Halloween edition. The only fear you should have is missing out on this best of Philly comedy show.
We’re also summoning an improv jam for the first time in a very long time. 28 Scenes Later: A Halloween Inpsired Improv Jam is your chance to get on stage and do a scene or two whether you have improv experience or not. Don’t be scared – we’ll take care of you! Following the jam will be Blackout: Improv Inspired By Spooky-ish Stories. This monologue based show will feature some more of Philly best telling spoopy tales and conjuring scenes inspired by them.

All shows will take place at the beautiful Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake on Hicks south of Spruce. We’ll have the amazing Jack in the booth and the wonderful Nikema keeping everything moving. that wasn’t enough for you or you are unavailable for the October run – we will be back for some political themed programming the next weekend at Plays & Players! Come have a laugh about the state of things before heading to the polls and hoping for the best.
